Do you like to go all out on the 4th of July? Enjoying every barbecue, festival, parade, and firework display you can find? 

Or do you prefer to keep things low-key and find somewhere quiet to enjoy a nearby firework show? Either way, we’ve got you covered!

City of Huntsville:

Join the City of Huntsville Recreation Services at Kate Barr Ross Park Saturday, July 4, 2015, to celebrate the Fourth of July with family entertainment and a large-scale fireworks show.

The Fourth of July celebration will be a fun and safe event for the entire family. Family entertainment will commence at 4 p.m. with the fireworks show beginning at 9 p.m. or at dark, weather permitting.

Come out and enjoy a fun-filled event to celebrate the Fourth of July. Enjoy family entertainment with a rock wall, face painter, balloon art, moonwalks, and karaoke. Nachos, hot dogs, snow cones, cotton candy, popcorn, and drinks will be served. Food and drink prices will vary. Don’t forget to bring your coolers, blankets, and chairs, and get there early to reserve your spot for the fireworks show, which begins at 9 p.m. or dark.

Huntsville American Legion: 

Festivities will kick off Friday in Huntsville as American Legion Post No. 95 kicks off its Celebrate America BBQ Cook-Off, an officially sanctioned Texas Gulf Cost BBQ Cookers Association event. Entries are still being accepted for competing teams, and entry forms can be found at the American Legion Post after 4 p.m. or online at user.mscc.net/~htcan/alpost95events.html. Cook-off categories will include brisket, ribs, chicken, jackpot beans, margaritas and Bloody Marys. The cook-off will begin Friday and continue through Saturday. On Saturday, events at the post will include a brisket plate sale, face painting, music and other family activities.

Elkins Lake (Huntsville):

Fourth of July Parade: Tuesday, July 4th Price: Free to attend

Location: Parade begins at Manor Park and ends at the Olympic Pool

Time: Cart contest judging at 9:30 am, Parade begins at 10:00 am

Willis:

Those who wish to get a jump on fireworks can do so this Friday, as American Legion Post and Auxiliary Unit 618,  located a mile east of Willis on Highway 1097, will hold its annual Fireworks Display on July 2 at dusk. 

New Waverly:

BBQ is being served, starting at 11 AM at the St. Joseph Hall in New Waverly, followed by a live auction at 1 PM. The lunch will be $8 per plate.Fireworks at dusk next to First Victoria National Bank. 

The Woodlands:

The 18-minute Fireworks Extravaganza will take place at approximately 9:30 p.m. The primary fireworks display will be located in Lake Woodlands adjacent to Northshore Park, with secondary close-proximity displays at Waterway Square and Town Green Park. The 2017 Fireworks Extravaganza will also feature a fireworks display near Rob Fleming Park in the Village of Creekside Park. To ensure spectators have the best fireworks visibility possible, fireworks teaser shots will be fired every ten minutes beginning at 9 p.m. 

Montgomery:

College Station:

“I Love America” Fourth of July Celebration

Join us at The George Bush Presidential Library Center as we host the College Station Noon Lions Club’s “I Love America” Fourth of July celebration on Tuesday, July 4th. Museum admission is free from 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and events outside begin after 5 p.m. The event is free and will include live entertainment and a Kids’ Zone. Concessions are available for purchase. Guests are invited to bring their lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a patriotic concert by the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra and ending the night with a fireworks show.
